OR117669 – Evening Support Officer

Work Pattern: Monday–Friday, 20 hour per week

PAYE Pay Rate: £13.65 per hour

Main Purpose:
To support the smooth running, security and maintenance of Council offices and facilities, while providing porterage, reception and general facilities support.

Key Duties:

• Receive, sort and distribute deliveries and internal/external mail.
• Provide security surveillance and open/close Council buildings.
• Set and monitor fire and intruder alarms.
• Supervise and allocate work to cleaners.
• Assist with moving and retrieving archive materials.
• Maintain clean, tidy and safe reception areas.
• Assist visitors, members of the public and elected members.
• Report and coordinate building repairs and maintenance.
• Monitor heating, lighting, lifts, fire alarms and security systems.
• Assist with room bookings and meeting arrangements.
• Support Council, committee meetings and events.
• Carry out general facilities and porterage duties.
• Work overtime during busy election periods when required.

Essential:

• Experience in facilities, porterage, caretaking or a similar role.
