• Job Title: Sunday + Bank Support Worker
• Pay: £23.00 gross per hour
• Location: Bromley, BR1
• Start Date: ASAP
• Hours and Days of Work: Approximately 36 Sundays per year, 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM, plus additional bank cover for staff sickness and holidays
• Essential Experience: Professional or personal experience supporting children with additional needs or disabilities, with an understanding of how to adapt support to the individual child. Strong communication skills when working with children, parents and wider support teams. Good organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage different responsibilities effectively. *This role is open to female applicants only.
• Desirable: Previous experience working in a family support role. Familiar with AAC and sign language. Paediatric First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Driver Required: No for Sunday cover; driving licence preferred for additional weekday or holiday support. Automatic Volvo XC90 available on duty.

Amelia, 7, is bright, determined and sociable. She has cerebral palsy affecting all four limbs, mixed spasticity and dystonia, and auditory neuropathy. She is a wheelchair user and non-verbal, communicating through limited speech, basic British Sign Language, gestures and an AAC device.

A warm and patient Support Worker is sought to provide personal care, transfers and support with communication, while helping Amelia enjoy swimming, family time, Sunday School, homework and age-appropriate activities. Experience supporting children with additional needs or disabilities is essential.
