Mechanical Fitter / PDI Technician

Our client is a speciality manufacturer of technical machinery & equipment, and they are seeking a Mechanical Fitter / PDI Technician to join their existing team. As a Mechanical Fitter / PDI Technician, you will inspect and rectify technical issues by using bench hand tools on products.
Mechanical Fitter / PDI Technician Responsibilities:
– Carry out Pre-Delivery Inspections on new and pre-owned machinery prior to release
– Testing products including hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems
– Check wiring harnesses, electrical components and hydraulic components
– Identify and rectify any faults during the Pre-Delivery Inspections
– Recording defects and completed rectification work accurately
– Refurbishing pre-owned machinery from time to time
Mechanical Fitter / PDI Technician Requirements:
– Previous hands-on mechanical technician, fitter or machinery maintenance experience essential
– Strong mechanical aptitude with confident fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills
– Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and build information
– Confidence operating and testing machinery and assessing whether it is functioning correctly
– Must be a team player
This Mechanical Fitter / PDI Technician position is based in Evesham and is commutable from Pershore, Worcester, Bidford-on-Avon, Tewkesbury and Alcester.
