Data Analytics Lead

Data Analytics Lead - Central Government function - 12 month contract - SC Clearance

I am working with a central government client who is looking for a Data Analytics lead to join their team. You will lead a small analytics team to deliver clear reporting and insight for internal stakeholders and external customers. You'll stay hands-on with data while shaping how the organisation uses BI tools to drive decisions.

Due to the nature of the client and the urgency of the role, ideal candidates will hold British nationality and have active SC Clearance.

I am keen to speak with candidates who have:

• Significant experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or analytics roles.
• Background in leading or managing an analytics or BI team.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise reporting and dashboard solutions, using modern BI and visualisation platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong understanding of KPI development, operational reporting, and performance management.
• Confident stakeholder engagement skills, including translating business needs into analytical outputs.
• Experience with the Microsoft toolset and awareness of how data engineering supports analytics.
• Desirable: exposure to data governance, metadata management, and master data principles.
• Desirable: experience supporting both internal business reporting and customer-facing reporting services.
