Job Title: Temporary Finance Manager

Job Location: Stoke on Trent

Start: ASAP

Contract Duration: Temporary, Ongoing

Hours of Work: 28 hours per week (flex)

Days of Work: Monday to Friday

Work Format: Fully office based

Hourly Rate: £2q-21.80ph DOE

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the non-profit organisations day-to-day finance function.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts and cash-flow reports.
• Manage ledgers, reconciliations, payments, payroll and financial records.
• Monitor budgets, expenditure and funds.
• Manage any grant and funding income and associated reporting.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory accounting requirements and financial controls.
• Support year-end accounts, audits and statutory reporting.
• Provide financial insight and advice to senior management and trustees.
• Liaise with auditors, accountants, funders and other external stakeholders.
• Continuously review and improve financial processes and systems.

Key Experience Requirements

• Must be part or fully ACCA/CIMA qualified
• Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or senior finance role, ideally within a charity or not-for-profit environment.
• Strong experience preparing management accounts, budgets, forecasts and cash-flow reports.
• Experience managing the full finance function, including reconciliations, ledgers, payments and financial controls.
• Knowledge of regulatory accounting.
• Experience working with senior management, trustees, auditors and external stakeholders, providing clear financial information and advice.
