Assistant Headteacher - Teaching and Learning

We are looking for someone who:

• has a strong understanding of effective teaching, curriculum and assessment;

• can support and challenge colleagues with clarity, warmth and professional credibility;

• knows how to develop others and build a culture of professional learning;

• can use evidence of pupils’ learning to identify priorities and evaluate impact; and

• shares our ambition for every pupil to achieve well and feel that they belong.

For the right person, this is a chance to help shape a school at an important point in its development, within a supportive leadership team and a distinctive Shropshire setting. We warmly encourage you to visit, meet us and see the school for yourself. You will join a leadership team that works closely together and shares responsibility for school improvement. We will give you the opportunity to get to know the school, build relationships and understand what is already working well before shaping the next steps with colleagues. You will have the support of the Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher, alongside opportunities to develop your own leadership through the wider TrustEd Schools Partnership.

If you have read this far then you should probably come and visit us. To arrange a visit or an informal conversation about the role, please contact the Headteacher’s PA, [email removed]. Visit dates: Tuesday 29th, Wednesday 30th September, Monday 5th October.
