Accounts Administrator

A thriving Accountancy practice is seeking an Accounts Administrator to assist with MTD and the growing administrative needs of the firm.

The Accounts Administrator will be providing an efficient administrative and accounting support to the practice team, ensuring client records are maintained accurately and deadlines are met. Typically, they will be assisting  with bookkeeping, accounts preparation administration, client communications, document management and general office support to facilitate the smooth operation of the practice.

The Accounts Administrator will benefit from working with a friendly and flexible team, where collaborative working is encouraged. Flexible working is available between 8am and 6pm.

To be considered for this role, it is highly advantageous to have experience within an accountancy practice. However, strong administration, bookkeeping or accounts support experience gained in a professional environment would also be welcomed. Excellent communication, organisation and IT skills are essential, including proficiency in Word, Excel and ideally Xero, Sage or QuickBooks.

Accounts Administration duties and responsibilities;

• Client Administration • Maintain accurate client records and onboarding documentation • Manage AML checks, client communications and practice deadlines • Support Companies House and HMRC correspondence.
• Bookkeeping & MTD Support • Process client bookkeeping records and maintain accounting systems • Post journals and invoices, reconcile bank accounts and prepare working papers • Liaise with clients to obtain information and resolve queries.
• Tax & Compliance • Prepare routine HMRC submissions and track statutory filing deadlines • Maintain AML and compliance records.
• Document & Practice Support • Organise and store client documentation securely in line with GDPR • Handle client enquiries professionally and support wider practice administration.
