Senior Account Manager

This is a Senior Account Manager position on one of the largest retained global accounts at a mid-sized brand and experience agency.

The account is scaling fast – it delivered over £1M of work beyond its retainer this year, and the team has reached the point where volume outpaces the people supporting it. This hire exists to absorb that. You’re joining at a growth point, not a steady state.

The Role
You’ll lead client relationships across a complex, matrixed global account with multiple brands. You’ll structure the conversations that move strategic work forward, translate client needs into briefs design can act on, and own the commercial side – monthly revenue targets, weekly targets cascaded to the Account Managers reporting to you, forecasting, invoicing and accruals.

You’ll also set the standard. Mentoring Account Managers on project and financial management is a core part of the role, not an add-on. You’ll partner with design and resource management to deploy talent across workstreams, and you’ll be accountable for delivery quality at pace.

The Person
You’ve spent roughly four to six years in client services at a brand, design or packaging agency, and you’ve worked on a large, matrixed global account through a period of real growth, so you understand operationally what a fast-scaling client demands. 

You’re solutions-oriented and self-directed – someone who has navigated difficult scenarios and found a way through rather than waiting to be handed one. The account is in tobacco, so you’ll need to be comfortable working on it.
