Vacancy for Clerk to Academy Council

Salary: Meridian Trust Grade 7 , Points 12-19

Hours: 2.5 hours per week (including some evenings)

Locations of Committee:North Cambridge Academy

Meetings to take place: Onsite, in the evenings.

We are looking for a highly organised, professional and reliable Clerk to the Academy Council, which plays an important role supporting and constructively challenging our school leaders while contributing to the provision of the best possible education and outcomes for all children and young people.

As a Clerk to the Academy Council, you will be responsible for delivering efficient and effective clerking, administrative support and record keeping to the Academy Council, ensuring that meetings and processes are conducted in line with statutory requirements, trust policies and governance best practice. The role includes a range of duties and responsibilities that contribute to the smooth and compliant operation of the Academy Council.

You will work closely with the Principal and Academy Council Chair as part of the wider trust governance team.

Previous governance or clerking experience would be advantageous; however, full training and support will be provided for candidates who can demonstrate the skills, commitment and values required to succeed in the role.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, professionalism and the ability to build effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
