Production Operative

Cogent Staffing are recruiting for experienced Manufacturing Operatives on a temporary to permanent basis. Our client are a leading manufacturer of their industry. Full training will provided for this role.

IMMEDIATE STARTS AVAILABLE & PERMANENT ROLES AFTER 12 WEEKS FOR THE RIGHT CANDIDATES

YOU MUST BE PREPARED TO WORK DAYS AND NIGHTS (12 HOUR SHIFTS) WITH WEEKENDS INCLUDED (4 ON/4 OFF SHIFT PATTERN)

Shift/salary:

• Shifts are continental: 4 x 12 hour day shifts (7am-7pm) followed by 4 days rest period then 4 x 12 hour nights (7pm-7am)
• This pattern continues, including days, nights and some weekends.
• £13.96, rising after 12 weeks , permanent/after 12 full weeks of work.
• All necessary training is provided however previous experience in a physical role and with working both days and nights would be a big benefit.
• Temporary to permanent opportunity.
• Weekly pay.

The role:

• Loading and unloading machines
• Machine minding / machine operating
• Quality checking products
• Completing assembly duties using hand held power tools
• Moving heavy raw materials where required
• Assisting in the moving of finished products
• General site maintenance and departmental upkeep in line with health and safety

The candidate:

• Can commit long term to the shift pattern
• Ability to work DAYS, NIGHTS AND WEEKENDS
• Is able to and from commute to Elland, Halifax for 7am Monday – Sunday
• Has previous experience in a similar or physical role
• Is receptive to training and willing to learn
• Can communicate well and has an eye for detail

Following 12 weeks probation period successful candidates will be offered a permanent contract within the company.
