Zest Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant in Wolverhampton to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) within a welcoming and inclusive school environment.
This exciting opportunity is ideal for a Teaching Assistant who has experience supporting children with additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, speech and language difficulties, and learning disabilities. About the Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-to-one support for pupils with special educational needs.
- Assisting children in small group interventions.
- Supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
- Implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies.
- Encouraging positive relationships and promoting independence.
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
- Creating a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment.

Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working with children with SEN.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, caring and adaptable approach.
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- A passion for supporting children to achieve their potential.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Experience supporting children with Autism, ADHD or SEMH needs.
- Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3).
- Experience within a primary, secondary or specialist school setting.
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies.
- Experience delivering interventions or targeted support programmes.
