Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated classroom support for Year 1 and Year 2 students with special educational needs.
• Utilize effective behavior management strategies to create a calm and productive learning atmosphere.
• Apply de-escalation techniques to support students in managing their emotions and navigating challenging moments.
• Assist the lead teacher in delivering tailored lesson plans that meet the individual requirements of each pupil.
• Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to track student progress and contribute to a supportive school culture.
• Foster a safe, encouraging, and engaging environment where every child feels valued.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for working with children within an SEN setting.
• Demonstrable experience or a strong willingness to develop skills in behavior management and de-escalation.
• Exceptional communication skills and a calm, resilient approach to problem-solving.
• A proactive attitude and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team.
