SEND Teaching Assistant

This supportive SEND setting in Willenhall, Coventry, now seeks a committed SEND Teaching Assistant for a part‑time role. To begin with, you bring solid experience supporting pupils with additional needs and feel confident creating calm, structured routines that help children feel safe, settled and ready to learn. As the day progresses, you guide pupils through clear tasks, reinforce key skills and maintain consistent expectations that support confidence and independence. Additionally, you work closely with teachers, pastoral staff and the SENCO to deliver high‑quality SEND provision across the school. Ideally, you hold an L1, L2 or L3 TA qualification, though strong SEND experience remains the priority.

Key Responsibilities

• SEND support delivered through calm routines and clear expectations
• 1:1 and small‑group guidance that builds confidence and engagement
• Adapted learning tasks for pupils needing additional help
• Positive behaviour approaches using warm, consistent communication
• Close teamwork with teachers, pastoral staff and the SENCO
