Role: School Business Manager

Salary: Bucks Pay Range 6-7 ISN 31-40 (£37,772-£46,650) Pro Rata

Contract Type: Permanent, Term Time + 2 Additional Weeks (41 Weeks)

Hours: Part Time - 22.5 HoursPer Week(3-4 Days)

Start Date: January 2027

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised, proactive and solutions-focused professional to develop our non-teaching functions, ensuring that our operations, facilities, finance, compliance and business systems support the very best outcomes for our students and staff.

About the Role

The School Business Manager will provide strategic and operational management across a diverse portfolio including:

  • Finance and payroll management
  • Health, Safety and premises management
  • Administration and school operations
  • Data protection and GDPR compliance
  • Procurement and contract management
  • Business continuity and risk management
  • Communications, marketing and community engagement
  • Leadership and development of operational teams

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has significant experience in school business, operations, administration or a comparable management role.
  • Has experience of payroll administration and working alongside finance teams.
  • Possesses strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Has a sound understanding of Health & Safety, compliance and risk management.
  • Can lead and develop teams effectively.
  • Is confident using management information systems and producing reports for senior leaders and governors.
  • Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
