The Role
A secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a passionate and dedicated Business Studies Teacher to join its department from October 2026 on a long-term supply basis.
 
The successful candidate will teach Edexcel Business across KS3 to KS5, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that develop students’ understanding of key business concepts and prepare them for their qualifications. You will encourage students to apply their knowledge to real-world business scenarios while developing their analytical, financial, and decision-making skills.
 
You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons, assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment. You will uphold high expectations for behaviour and achievement while supporting students to develop confidence and a strong understanding of Business Studies.
 
The Candidate
  • Hold QTS or be an ECT
    • Have experience teaching Business Studies across KS3 to KS5
    • Be confident delivering the Edexcel Business curriculum
    • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and an ability to engage students
    • Have strong classroom management and organisational skills
    • Be committed to supporting student progress and raising attainment
    • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Have a genuine passion for Business Studies and inspiring young people
