TSR Legal are delighted to be working with a well established, multi service law firm in their search for a Conveyancing Legal Assistant to join their growing property team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with 1–2 years’ conveyancing experience who is looking to build on their existing knowledge and develop their career within a supportive and established legal team.

The successful candidate will work closely with experienced fee earners, assisting with a varied residential conveyancing caseload while gradually taking on increased responsibility as their experience develops.

The Role

You will provide day-to-day support to the residential conveyancing team, assisting with matters from instruction through to completion and post-completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting fee earners with a varied residential conveyancing caseload
• Supporting with sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity
• Preparing correspondence and legal documentation
• Communicating with clients, solicitors, lenders and other third parties
• Requesting and reviewing relevant searches and documentation
• Assisting with enquiries and progressing transactions
• Keeping case management systems and client records up to date
• Supporting with exchange and completion processes
• Assisting with post-completion work
• Providing general administrative and legal support to the wider property team

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• 1–2 years’ experience within residential conveyancing
• Previous experience working within a law firm or conveyancing environment
• A good understanding of the residential conveyancing process
• Strong organisational and administrative skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to manage deadlines and prioritise workloads
• A proactive and positive approach to learning and development
• A genuine interest in developing a long-term career within conveyancing

This role would suit a Legal Assistant, Conveyancing Assistant or Junior Paralegal who is ready to take the next step and gradually develop their knowledge.
