Senior Quantity Surveyor (MEP/CSA)

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to play a key role on some of the UK's most complex and high-profile construction projects?
We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor (MEP/CSA) to join a growing project team delivering large-scale, technically challenging developments. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of the commercial management of major projects, working alongside experienced delivery teams in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

The Role


As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial and contractual aspects of projects from procurement through to final account, ensuring financial performance is maximised while maintaining strong commercial controls throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing all commercial and contractual aspects of project delivery
  • Preparing, reviewing and maintaining project budgets, forecasts and cost reports
  • Leading procurement activities, including tendering, subcontractor selection and contract negotiations
  • Managing subcontractor accounts, valuations, variations and final accounts
  • Monitoring project costs and identifying commercial risks and opportunities
  • Supporting Project Managers, Package Managers and site teams with cost management and commercial advice
  • Ensuring contractual records and documentation are maintained accurately
  • Attending commercial meetings, project reviews and site meetings
  • Assessing and managing change orders and project variations
  • Preparing interim valuations, applications for payment and final account submissions
  • Producing commercial reports for senior management
  • Resolving commercial and contractual issues proactively to protect project performance

About You


To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 8 years' Quantity Surveying experience within the construction industry
  • Strong experience managing the commercial delivery of large-scale construction projects
  • Proven expertise in cost management, procurement and contract administration
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical and financial management skills
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial practices
  • The ability to build effective relationships across multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail


Desirable:

  • Experience working on data centre, industrial, mission-critical or similarly complex projects
