Role Overview

A Mechanical Package Manager is required to join an expanding team in the UK on a site-based basis in Blyth. In this role, you will play a key part in driving the successful delivery of complex mechanical building services packages on major data centre developments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain effective communication channels with the client and wider project stakeholders.
  • Safety & Quality: Draft and implement comprehensive method statements and risk assessments for all package-related mechanical works, ensuring HVAC deliverables satisfy quality and safety requirements.
  • Installation Sequencing: Coordinate with the broader project team to sequence mechanical installations, including pipework, aligning activities with scheduled programme milestones.
  • Commercial & Scope Tracking: Assist with the documentation and costing of scope changes, support the preparation of monthly valuations, and contribute to the final account process.
  • Documentation Management: Compile, maintain, and file all package-related O&M and BCAR documentation.
  • Programme Monitoring: Manage and track the four-week look-ahead programme in close coordination with the project team.
  • As-Built Records: Monitor modifications during installation to ensure all as-built records accurately reflect the final site construction.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within a construction contracting environment.
  • Preferred Background: Prior experience managing process plant installations or water treatment facilities is strongly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Fully proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Project.
  • Core Competencies: Excellent organisation, time management, and communication skills.
