Junior Lab Technician

We’re looking for a Laboratory Technician to join a growing team and play an important role in delivering accurate, reliable laboratory testing while helping to keep day-to-day laboratory operations running efficiently.

Main Duties:

• Independently perform laboratory testing and analysis across approved methods and SOPs.
• Calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment, ensuring they remain within required specifications.
• Record, review and report laboratory results with a high level of accuracy.
• Maintain clear, accurate and up-to-date laboratory records and documentation.
• Support laboratory stock control and inventory management, including receiving, labelling and tracking supplies.
• Help maintain high standards of laboratory safety, quality and compliance.

Skills / Experience Required:

• Demonstrable competence in laboratory techniques and approved test methods.
• Experience calibrating laboratory instruments and carrying out routine maintenance.
• The ability to accurately record, interpret and report data and results.
• Strong organisational skills, including experience with stock or inventory management.
• A methodical approach to maintaining laboratory records and documentation.
• A HNC/HND or degree in a relevant subject, or at least 1 year’s experience working in a commercial laboratory.
