We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in the DN2 area.

The successful candidate will be supporting children within Year 1, helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and academic skills. You will work closely with the class teacher to provide engaging learning support and ensure all pupils are able to access the curriculum.

The role will include:

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support where required
• Supporting children with phonics, reading, writing and early maths
• Encouraging positive behaviour and independence
• Assisting with classroom activities and preparation
• Working collaboratively with the class teacher and wider school team

Previous experience working within a primary school is desirable, although candidates with strong transferable experience will also be considered.
