Job summary
100 (Yeomanry) Regiment Royal Artillery (Formerly NRHQ RA) are based in Woolwich, the spiritual home of the Royal Artillery, with 221 (Wessex) Bty located in Larkhill, 255 (Somerset Yeomanry) Bty in Bath and an All Arms Staff Pool supporting Defence. We provide a range of capabilities from Tactical Air Control Parties and Naval Gunnery Liaison Officers to specialist Staff Officers and Gunnery Instructors. Our personnel spend most of their time supporting the Regular Army, Navy and Air Force on exercise and operations at home and abroad.
The QM (Quarter Master) Administration Officer of 100 (Yeomanry) Regiment Royal Artillery and Woolwich Station is a key member of the team, you will act as a focal point for accommodation management, facilities reporting, contract monitoring and customer service delivery. The role will be based at Woolwich.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an inclusive team working with Military and Civil Service colleagues who deliver key Personal Administration, Data Protection, Finance, and the auditing of Public and Service Charity funds. The work is varied and requires the ability to respond quickly to situations as they arise.
This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.
Job description
We are seeking a motivated, organised and customer focused Administrative Officer to join the Quartermaster Department at Woolwich Station. This is a varied and rewarding role at the heart of service delivery, providing essential support to military personnel and stakeholders across the station.
As a key member of the team, you will act as a focal point for accommodation management, facilities reporting, contract monitoring and customer service delivery. You will work closely with both military and civilian colleagues, contractors and service personnel to ensure high standards are maintained across accommodation, facilities management and administrative support functions.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service and is keen to develop their skills within the Civil Service.
Main Role Responsibilities:
- Act as the focal point for the recording, management and reporting of Hard Facilities Management (FM) faults, liaising between Service Personnel and contractors.
- Monitor and report contractor performance against agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Oversee and report on transit accommodation cleaning services delivered by the Soft FM contractor.
- Manage the receipt, stock control and replenishment of laundry services in accordance with contractual requirements.
- Deliver a professional and welcoming reception service within the Quartermaster Department.
- Manage, monitor and report on the Woolwich Station stationery account.
- Issue and receive accommodation for Service Personnel, ensuring compliance with current policies and procedures.
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the Quartermaster and Regimental Quartermaster Sergeant (RQMS).
- Develop and maintain competency in all Land Use Management System(LUMS) applications and associated processes.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to management reporting and auditing requirements.
