About the role

We are seeking to recruit an inspirational colleague to the role of Partnership Director: Primary. This role is of great importance to our work as an organisation.

GORSE has been extremely careful regarding its growth over the course of the last decade. Taking into account projects which have been approved by government, we know that our trust will be made up of 16 establishments in the near future. In addition to this, we also operate GORSE SCITT and Leeds Teaching School Hub, important establishments in their own right. Ensuring that each element of the trust, including the central team, performs at its best to ensure all children, especially those whose who are disadvantaged, have the opportunity to secure the Gift of Choice, is the central mission of GORSE. Within our organisation we have established a long standing culture of excellence where ‘high challenge, high support’ is commonplace. You will be joining an established team of highly-skilled Partnership Directors, overseen by our Senior Partnership Director. The team provides essential leadership support, giving strength to our work as a central team, ensuring that we are able to achieve excellence in all areas of our practice throughout the trust. The successful candidate will work collaboratively as part of the established Partnership Director team and will report directly to the Executive Principal: Primary and the Senior Partnership Director.

The Partnership Director: Primary’s remit will be centred on ensuring that our primary schools are increasingly effective and enjoyable places to learn and to work. In order to achieve this the successful postholder will have well established expertise in all aspects of primary education. Strong experience in Early Years and Foundation Stage and Special Educational Needs will be very important in this role along with a detailed understanding of how to expertly develop children’s confidence and ability in English and mathematics. The ability to be dynamic, resilient, tenacious and passionate are a necessity in the role of Partnership Director alongside working within GORSE’s values of Diligence, Integrity, Rectitude and Kindness.

It is essential the successful candidate is appropriately experienced and already operating at a senior level within education. Furthermore, the successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to initiate and manage positive change and will have a strong track record of performance. This will include positively impacting upon the work of other professionals over a sustained period of time.
