Accounts Payable Assistant

Basildon, UK Pure Resourcing Solutions Limited We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Assistant to join a busy finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with accounts payable experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has strong communication and problem-solving skills. The Role Working as part of the finance team, you will provide essential support across the accounts payable function, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and payments are made efficiently. Key Responsibilities Processing and posting subcontractor invoices. Managing subcontractor payment runs. Resolving internal and external supplier queries. Managing the subcontractor email inbox. Verifying new subcontractors and maintaining accurate records. Ensuring VAT is processed and posted correctly. Reviewing and updating bank details and address amendments. Reviewing CIS and VAT checks. Posting overhead invoices and credit notes. Processing monthly expenses. Posting ad-hoc payments for bank reconciliations.About You: Previous experience within an accounts payable or finance support role. Excellent numerical and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. The ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. A proactive approach to resolving queries. Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel. Experience dealing with subcontractors or CIS processes would be beneficial but is not essential.
