Location: Burnley
Rate: £19.00 per hour
Contract: 12 months

Morson are recruiting on behalf of Safran Nacelles for an experienced Internal Scheduler to join their Supply Chain team in Burnley on a 12-month contract.

The role will be responsible for developing and maintaining a realistic short-term supply plan that meets production requirements, customer demand and stock targets. You will work closely with manufacturing and internal suppliers, using MRP and capacity planning to identify and resolve supply and production constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain short-term supply plans in line with production and stock requirements.
• Participate in the MRP validation process and manage resulting exception messages.
• Launch and sequence production orders in line with ERP recommendations.
• Carry out detailed capacity planning and identify potential constraints or imbalances.
• Communicate requirements and changes to internal suppliers and manufacturing teams.
• Negotiate delivery dates and quantities with internal suppliers.
• Monitor production progress, supplier deliveries and stock levels.
• Analyse manufacturing issues and reschedule requirements where necessary.
• Monitor supply chain performance against agreed metrics and produce regular reports.
• Identify root causes of performance issues and support recovery action plans.
• Manage subcontracting processes and supplier returns.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in Supply Chain, Production Planning, Scheduling or a similar environment.
• Good understanding of MRP/MRP2 principles.
• Experience using ERP systems within a Supply Chain or manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of capacity planning and production processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work proactively and make decisions within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with internal or external suppliers would be beneficial.
• APICS/BCS qualification or equivalent supply chain knowledge is desirable.
