Procurement Manager

Our client is looking for a Procurement Manager to drive procurement strategy, supplier relationships and commercial delivery across a growing renewable energy portfolio. Key Responsibilities Lead procurement activities for key project packages, including preparation of commercial strategies, tendering, supplier selection and contract negotiation. Collaborate closely with engineering, grid, delivery, finance and legal teams to ensure procurement decisions deliver best overall value and manage risk appropriately. Support the delivery team during construction to monitor supplier commercial performance, variations, milestones and payments. Manage multiple procurement workstreams and propose innovative commercial solutions to procurement and delivery challenges. About You Degree-level qualification in engineering, quantity surveying, commercial management or a related discipline (electrical engineering background advantageous but not essential). Minimum of 5 years’ experience within the renewable energy or major infrastructure sector, with a strong focus on procurement, commercial management or contract administration. Proven experience leading or supporting commercial procurement processes for high-value equipment and construction packages, ideally within solar PV, wind, battery storage or power infrastructure projects. Strong understanding of procurement strategies and contracting models and their impact on cost, risk allocation and delivery certainty. Experience of tendering, bid evaluation and contract negotiation, including preparation of commercial evaluations and risk summaries for senior stakeholders. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical, legal, finance and delivery teams. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple procurement activities simultaneously and meet demanding development and construction programme milestones.
