About the role
CNC Applications Engineer – Contract
Location: Sheffield
Rate: £40 – £45 per hour | Outside IR35
Hours: Monday – Friday | Days | On-Site
Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a leading precision engineering business to recruit an experienced CNC Applications Engineer on a contract basis.
The role will focus on CNC offline programming, NPI and manufacturing process development, supporting the production of complex precision-engineered components.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimise CNC programmes for multi-axis machining
- Support NPI, process development and engineering projects
- Improve machining processes, cycle times and manufacturing efficiency
- Provide technical support across engineering and production
Skills & Experience
- Strong CNC offline programming and machining background
- Experience with hyperMILL, Mastercam, VERICUT or similar CAM software
- Proven 5-axis CNC machining experience
- Turning and mill-turn experience desirable
- Experience in NPI and manufacturing process improvement
- Siemens NX knowledge advantageous
- Background in aerospace, medical or other highly regulated manufacturing environments beneficial
