About the role
Hours: Monday to Friday, 2pm10pm fixed shift
Experienced with buses or coaches? Looking for a set shift you can plan around?
An established bus operator is looking for a skilled PSV Engineer to join its engineering team in Kidderminster. You'll help keep a busy fleet safe, reliable and ready for service, working a fixed Monday-to-Friday late shift.
The role:
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a fleet of PSV vehicles.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical and pneumatic faults.
- Complete safety inspections, identify defects and carry out preventative maintenance.
- Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and address any required repairs.
- Respond to breakdowns and running defects to minimise vehicle downtime.
- Complete maintenance records accurately and maintain a safe, organised workshop.
What we're looking for:
- Experience as a PSV Engineer, Bus Mechanic or Coach Technician.
- A recognised qualification in heavy vehicle maintenance, ideally NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, or substantial relevant experience.
- Strong fault-finding skills and a thorough approach to vehicle safety.
- The ability to work independently and support the wider engineering team.
- A PCV licence would be an advantage.
