Brook Street Social Care are recruiting Support Workers to join a busy homelessness drop-in service in Coventry, supporting individuals who are rough sleeping or at risk of homelessness.
This is a rewarding frontline role where you'll provide practical and emotional support to vulnerable adults, helping them access housing, specialist services, benefits, and longer-term support.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a welcoming, non-judgemental support service
- Support rough sleepers and vulnerable adults
- Provide housing advice and accommodation referrals
- Assist with benefits, form filling, and IT access
- Work alongside mental health, substance misuse, outreach, and partner agencies
- Maintain accurate records and case notes
- Follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures
What We're Looking For
- Experience within homelessness, housing support, support work, or working with vulnerable adults
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to remain calm in challenging situations
- Understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
- Empathetic, resilient, and solution-focused approach
Shift Patterns
- 7:00am - 7:00pm
- 9:00am - 4:00pm
- 7:00am - 4:00pm (Saturday)
- 10:00am - 7:00pm (Weekend)
Weekend availability is essential.
