About the role
Make a difference every day - become a Support Practitioner in Elgin!
Looking for a job that offers more than just a payslip? How about a role where you can make a real difference, build meaningful relationships and go home every day knowing you've changed someone's life for the better?
Our fantastic teams in Elgin are looking for enthusiastic, caring and motivated people to join us as Support Practitioners on a permanent, part-time basis, with opportunities to work 20, 25 or 30 hours per week.
No two days are the same, and every day brings the opportunity to make a positive difference!
What will you be doing?
As a Support Practitioner, you'll play an important part in helping the people we support live life their way, achieve their goals and enjoy greater independence.
You'll get to know each person, understand what's important to them and support them to make their own choices and decisions.
Your role will include:
Supporting individuals to manage their own homes and develop or maintain their independence.
Providing personal care and supporting their health, wellbeing and everyday needs.
Encouraging people to explore their hobbies, interests and passions.
Supporting individuals to enjoy leisure activities, try new experiences and get involved in their local communities.
Helping people build confidence, develop new skills and achieve their personal goals.
Whether it's helping someone discover a new hobby, enjoying a trip into the community or simply being there when they need a helping hand, it's the little moments that can make the biggest difference.
What are we looking for?
Here's the best part – you don't need previous care experience or formal qualifications to join us!
We believe that the right attitude, values and personality matter far more than experience. If you're a caring, positive and reliable person who enjoys helping others, we'd love to hear from you.
We'll give you all the training and support you need to succeed, including paid training, funding for your SVQ (SCQF Level 6/7) qualification and reimbursement of your PVG cost and annual SSSC registration fees.
All we ask is that you bring:
Great communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner.
A positive, can-do attitude and a solution-focused approach.
The ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
Confidence in using new systems and technology.
Good administrative and numeracy skills to maintain accurate records.
An understanding of the importance of following routines, policies and guidelines.
What will your working hours look like?
We provide round-the-clock support, 365 days a year, so flexibility is important. Your rota will include a mixture of early mornings, daytime and evening shifts, with weekends, public holidays and sleepovers on a rotational basis.
Our sleepovers are separate from your contracted hours, so you’ll receive an additional payment of £107.60 for every sleepover you work - giving you the opportunity to earn extra alongside your contracted hours.
