SEND Teaching Assistant

The Role

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a variety of additional needs, including:

• Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
• ADHD
• Speech and Language Difficulties
• Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Needs
• Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties
• Complex Needs and Challenging Behaviour

You will work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and other support staff to provide tailored learning and emotional support both inside and outside the classroom.

We Are Looking For:

• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND
• A patient, caring, and resilient nature
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
• Experience in schools, care, support work, youth work, or similar settings is desirable
• Relevant qualifications are advantageous but not essential
