Project Manager
Location: Bromsgrove, Worcestershire
Salary: £35,000 £45,000 per annum
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
About the Role
We are recruiting for an organised, proactive and commercially aware Project Manager to join a growing business specialising in innovative surveying, inspection and technical solutions.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager, ideally from a construction, civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure background, to take responsibility for coordinating and delivering multiple projects from initial planning through to successful completion.
The successful candidate will work closely with operational teams, clients and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget.
Previous experience within the UAV or drone industry would be advantageous but is not essential. Strong project management skills and experience working within technical or site-based environments are more important.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate multiple projects from initial enquiry through to completion.
- Develop project plans, schedules and resource requirements to ensure successful delivery.
- Liaise with clients to establish project requirements, timescales and deliverables.
- Coordinate field-based teams, subcontractors and external suppliers.
- Monitor project progress, budgets and costs, ensuring commercial targets are achieved.
- Identify and manage project risks, resolving issues proactively to minimise delays.
- Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with relevant health and safety procedures and industry regulations.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, reports and progress updates.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors and internal teams.
- Support the continuous improvement of project management processes and operational efficiency.
- Attend project meetings and site visits as required.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in a Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, Project Coordinator or similar role.
- Ideally, a background within construction, civil engineering, utilities, infrastructure or a related technical industry.
- Experience coordinating multiple projects, resources and operational teams.
- Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Good commercial awareness, including budget monitoring and cost control.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A practical, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
- Strong IT skills and experience using project management software.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of project delivery.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable Experience
- Experience working on infrastructure, utilities or surveying projects.
- Knowledge of site operations, risk assessments and health and safety requirements.
- Experience coordinating field-based technical teams.
- Relevant project management qualifications such as PRINCE2, APM or equivalent.
- Exposure to UAV technology, surveying or inspection services.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is organised, confident and comfortable managing several moving parts at once.
You will have a strong understanding of project delivery, excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with both clients and operational teams.
This role would suit an established Project Manager or an ambitious Assistant Project Manager looking to take the next step in their career within an innovative and growing industry.
What's on Offer?
- Competitive salary of £35,000 £45,000 depending on experience.
- Permanent opportunity within a growing and innovative business.
- Exposure to exciting projects across a range of sectors.
- Opportunity to develop your career within a specialist technical industry.
- Varied and challenging role with real responsibility and autonomy.
