HR Manager

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?

• Part-time role, 32 hours per week (Mon–Thurs)
• 12-month FTC
• Varied HR leadership role across a multi-site, international business
• Opportunity to shape and improve HR processes, policies and people initiatives
• Broad exposure across employee relations, organisational change, recruitment, payroll and L&D
• Work closely with managers and senior stakeholders across the UK, USA and India
• Four-day working week (Monday to Thursday)

MUST HAVE’S

• Strong HR generalist experience (ideally 5+ years), including hands-on employee relations casework
• CIPD Level 5 (minimum)
• Proven experience managing complex ER matters (disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability, performance)
• Confident coaching and advising line managers on people matters
• Some team leadership experience
• Strong working knowledge of HR and payroll systems
• Confident with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with strong numerical and analytical skills
• Excellent organisation, attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
• Calm, methodical approach with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Willingness to travel to UK showrooms and occasionally to the USA and India

NICE TO HAVE’S

• CIPD Level 7 (or currently working towards)
• Experience supporting a multi-site business (offices, retail/showrooms or warehouse environments)
• Exposure to international HR practices (USA and/or India)
• Experience using PeopleHR, Access Group or similar HR/payroll systems

SO, WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

• Oversee the full employee lifecycle across UK offices, showrooms, warehouse locations and the US team
• Manage recruitment processes with the HR Assistant and Advisor (vacancies, offers, contracts, right-to-work checks)
• Take ownership of complex employee relations casework, ensuring fair, consistent and legally compliant outcomes
• Coach and advise line managers on day-to-day people matters and ER issues
• Support organisational change, restructures and consultation processes
• Lead job design, role evaluation and the development of clear, consistent job descriptions
• Coordinate learning and development initiatives, training and employee development programmes
• Champion equality, diversity and inclusion across the employee lifecycle
• Audit payroll processes and records, resolve escalated pay queries and support annual pay reviews and bonus processes
• Manage employee benefits and recognition schemes, identifying opportunities for improvement
• Maintain and develop HR policies, procedures and employee handbooks across the UK, USA and India
• Provide HR oversight and support to the two Indian businesses, working with in-house HR support where applicable
• Support wider People projects (HR systems, audits, onboarding improvements, process development)
• Maintain accurate HR and payroll data, producing reports and meaningful people insights
