General Manager

An established manufacturing business is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead both operational and commercial performance across the organisation. This role would suit an existing General Manager, Operations Manager or Engineering Manager.

Reporting into senior leadership, you will be responsible for driving business growth, improving operational efficiency, leading cross-functional teams, and delivering strong financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• The General Manager / Operations Manager will lead manufacturing operations, ensuring quality, productivity and delivery targets are achieved.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
• Develop and execute commercial growth strategies.
• The General Manager will manage customer relationships, pricing and contract negotiations.
• Take ownership of budgeting, forecasting and P&L performance.
• Oversee supply chain, procurement and inventory management.
• Lead and develop teams across operations and commercial functions.
• Support long-term business strategy and growth plans.

About You

• The General Manager/ Operations Manager must have proven leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong commercial and business development background.
• Experience managing budgets, costs and profitability.
• The General Manager will need to have knowledge of manufacturing operations, supply chain and continuous improvement.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach.
