About the role
This well-established and ambitious electronics company is seeking a PhD qualified electronics engineer to join their R&D team working on cutting edge electrical measurement instrumentation. They develop a range of standard instruments as well as bespoke designs which are used in anything from EMC applications and energy monitoring to pulsed power and high frequency industrial monitoring systems.
The R&D team concentrate on developing new technologies and products for new industries as well as working with the custom engineering team on certain bespoke designs. Work varies from blank sheet design through modelling and simulation to prototype build, calibration and test. You can also expect to attend and present at relevant conferences and symposiums with work written up in academic papers and commercial white papers.
Requirements:
- PhD in electronics or electrical engineering
- Strong understanding of analogue electronics, especially related to test and measurement, instrumentation or power electronics
- Good skills with MATLAB and SPICE (or other circuit simulation package)
Some commercial experience is desirable, but recently awarded PhD’s will also be considered. This company is unable to sponsor and so you will need full and permanent rights to work in the UK.
