Flexible Nursery Assistant / Early Years Supply Practitioner - Addlestone

Responsibilities:

• Supervise, interact, and engage with children aged 0-5 years in a warm, stimulating environment.
• Assist permanent nursery staff with daily routines, including meal/snack times, outdoor play, and nap schedules.
• Set up creative learning activities and maintain a safe, clean, and tidy play area to encourage exploration.
• Adhere strictly to safeguarding procedures and health and safety policies at all times to ensure children's well-being.
• Promote positive behaviour and support children's social and emotional development throughout the day.

Qualifications:

• Qualified candidates: CACHE / NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare / Early Years Education (or equivalent).
• Unqualified candidates: A genuine passion for working with young children, a proactive attitude, and some transferable experience in childcare/early years settings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with staff and children.
• Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to different nursery routines and environments.
• Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

Job Details:

• Location: Addlestone and surrounding areas
• Hours: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Monday to Friday, flexible shifts available)
• Contract Type: Temporary / Day-to-Day Supply
• Salary: £14.00 - £16.00 per hour, paid weekly
