About the role
Platform Engineer - Kubernetes / GitOps / GitHub Actions
We are looking for an experienced Platform Engineer to join a technology team building and improving modern cloud-native engineering platforms.
This is a hands-on role focused on enabling development teams to deploy applications efficiently onto Kubernetes.
Key Responsibilities
- Work hands-on with application configuration and deployment onto Kubernetes.
- Build and maintain GitOps-based deployment and delivery workflows.
- Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Work closely with software engineering teams to improve developer experience and deployment processes.
- Automate platform provisioning, configuration and environment management.
- Help establish scalable, repeatable platform engineering practices.
Essential Skills
- Strong hands-on Platform Engineering experience.
- Excellent commercial experience with Kubernetes.
- Strong experience implementing GitOps practices.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD.
- Strong understanding of application configuration within Kubernetes environments.
- Experience working closely with software development teams rather than operating purely within an infrastructure function.
- Strong automation and infrastructure-as-code mindset.
