We are currently partnered with a well-established organisation who are seeking a Senior Payroll Assistant to join them on a permanent basis.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with the effective running and oversight of the payroll service.
- Oversee the payroll mailbox and help allocate team activities.
- Monitor, record and resolve payroll queries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Advise employees, contractors and managers on payroll matters.
- Administer and oversee annual leave processing.
- Process staffing changes, including starters, leavers, salary amendments and leaver calculations.
- Check, calculate and input weekly and monthly payrolls for employees and contractors.
- Process weekly and monthly payments when required.
- Check, produce and issue weekly invoices.
- Process relevant HMRC documentation, including P45s and P60s.
- Provide training support to Trainee and Payroll Assistant colleagues.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and files.
- Support process improvements and carry out routine payroll administration.
The successful candidate will be confident working in a fast paced environment with a manual payroll.
