<p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"><strong>About the Team and Role: </strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">The role of Development Officer (Community Connection &amp; Inclusion) is one of four Development Officers within the Gloucestershire Libraries team. This role will lead on the holistic promotion of the core elements of the library service including campaign management around audience development profiles and encouraging new memberships. Some of the key target areas include communication with young people (13 to 21 year olds), new residents as well as diverse community groups.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">The Development Officer will work within the Development Team with very clear aims and objectives which will include: </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">-Marketing and communications planning for all aspects of the library service</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">-Income generation from a range of sources, including donations, memberships, trusts and grant applications. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">-Develop and promote the countywide initiatives linked to audience development and new members working with communities, partners and funders to support continuation and evaluate impact.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> <strong>About you: </strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">We are seeking someone who has had previous experience of projects and project management, as this is an important element at the centre of the role. Other experience that is relevant and essential includes: </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">-Marketing, communications and branding. We do a lot of design and development in-house so some hands-on creative skills will be an important element </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">-Income generation. All projects are self-funded so some awareness and knowledge of trust and foundations, donations and legacies. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">-Data and insights. As projects are very audience/customer driven – we are looking for someone who has a clear understanding of reporting and interpreting data </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">On top of these elements, a proactive, positive team player with a vision and understanding of this specific age group and target audience. </span></p>
