Management Accountant

We are looking to add a Management Accountant to our Finance team based in Darlington!

As part of the Management Accounts team, a management accountant at Aspris turns operational and financial data into timely insights, forecasts and clear actions. These outputs help leaders understand business performance, make informed decisions and maintain strong financial control.

What will you be doing?

• Management reporting: prepare and present monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy, supported by clear commentary on performance.
• Budgeting and forecasting: coordinate annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
• Variance Analysis: explain differences between actual results, budget, forecast identifying causes and corrective actions.
• Business Partnering; work with operational leaders to improve financial understanding and identify opportunities for cost optimisation.
• Project Work: conduct detailed financial analysis on projects, product lines, or market opportunities.

What experience or qualifications will you need?

• Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with proven management accounting experience.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present it in a clear, compelling way.
• Proficiency in financial modelling and advanced Excel skills; experience with BI tools is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills—you can translate financial jargon into plain language for non-finance colleagues.
