IT & Technology Procurement Category Manager Location: Birmingham (Hybrid Working) Salary: Up to 70,000 + Benefits Package Sector: Professional Services Shape a Growing Procurement Function A leading international professional services organisation is seeking an experienced IT & Technology Procurement Category Manager to join its evolving procurement team. This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a relatively new role and genuinely make it your own. Working closely with senior stakeholders across technology and business services, you'll have the autonomy to influence procurement best practice, embed governance, enhance supplier performance and shape the future direction of technology procurement across a global business. The Opportunity Reporting into the Head of Procurement, you'll lead the procurement strategy across Technology, IT and emerging AI spend categories, supporting strategic business objectives while ensuring robust commercial and governance frameworks are in place. This is a highly visible position where you'll work with key decision–makers across the organisation, managing sourcing activity, supplier relationships, contract negotiations and procurement transformation initiatives. Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver category strategies across IT, Technology and AI–related spend areasLead end–to–end sourcing exercises, supplier selection processes and contract negotiationsAct as a trusted procurement partner to senior IT and business stakeholdersEstablish and enhance procurement processes, governance and policy frameworksDrive supplier performance, risk management and commercial value deliveryConduct market analysis and supplier due diligence to support informed decision–makingSupport the development of a mature procurement function through continuous improvement initiativesDeliver procurement guidance and training across the wider businessSupport ESG and sustainability objectives within the supply chainProduce procurement reporting and insights to identify opportunities, risks and savings About You We're keen to speak with commercially minded procurement professionals who can operate confidently in a stakeholder–heavy environment and are comfortable influencing at all levels. You'll likely bring: Significant experience within IT and Technology ProcurementA track record of developing and implementing category strategiesExperience managing complex sourcing projects and supplier negotiationsStrong contract management and commercial acumenThe ability to build credibility and influence senior stakeholdersExperience improving procurement processes, governance and ways of workingConfidence working autonomously and driving initiatives forward What's on Offer?
