Logistics Manager

LOGISTICS MANAGER BEDFORD AREA What did you change? How did you change it? What measurable difference did you make? If those are easy questions for you to answer, we should arrange a conversation. I m recruiting an experienced Logistics Manager for a growing, successful business in the Bedford area, but I m not looking for someone to simply maintain an existing operation. I m looking for someone who has changed one! Someone who can walk into an established warehouse and logistics environment, question how things are being done and, importantly, know how to make them better. The focus will be on: ??? Raising operational standards and driving continuous improvement ??? Improving WMS utilisation and inventory discipline ??? Using data and KPIs to understand and improve performance ??? Developing the team and creating real ownership and accountability ??? Strengthening H&S culture across warehouse and yard operations ??? Improving service and championing cross–functional working ??? Developing outsourced transport into a genuine logistics partnership Manufacturing experience would be ideal, but I m equally interested in people from FMCG or distribution who can bring strong operational and change experience into a hands–on manufacturing environment. This isn t your typical day to day management role. There are significant business–wide projects on the horizon, and we need someone who will naturally ask: Why do we do it this way? Could we do it better? What needs to change to get us there? If your strengths lie in implementation, transformation and continuous improvement, backed up by solid experience across WMS, inventory, KPIs, H&S and people leadership, I d really like to hear from you.
