We have an exciting opportunity for a Regulatory Reporting Lead to join the Water Resources Strategy Team within Asset Management at Yorkshire Water. You will take the lead in coordinating, analysing and delivering our water resources regulatory reporting submissions, helping Yorkshire Water meet its statutory obligations and maintain strong relationships with our regulators. Could this be you?
What we do
Everyone has an idea of what a water company does. Here in Yorkshire, we make sure that over 5.4 million people living in the region, and the millions of people who visit our region each year, can rely on our services. We provide clean and safe drinking water and ensure wastewater is safely taken away. But for us, it is so much more than this.
We look after communities, protect the environment and plan for Yorkshire’s water needs today and into the future, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We provide essential water and wastewater services across the region and play a key role in Yorkshire’s health, wellbeing and prosperity.
The Water Resources Strategy Team is responsible for developing and maintaining the plans that help ensure secure, resilient and sustainable water supplies. Accurate and transparent regulatory reporting is an essential part of demonstrating our performance against these plans and maintaining the confidence of our customers, Board and regulators.
As our Regulatory Reporting Lead, you will coordinate the data analysis and technical reporting required for Yorkshire Water’s water resources regulatory submissions. This includes the annual reviews of our Water Resources Management Plan and Drought Plan, the Water Environment Supply and Security Delivery metric within the Environmental Performance Assessment, relevant Annual Performance Report submissions, supply scheme Price Control Deliverables and responses to regulatory consultations and requests.
Where you fit in
As our Regulatory Reporting Lead, you will work across Yorkshire Water, particularly with data owners and technical experts, to collate, analyse, validate and report the information required for regulatory submissions.
You will summarise our performance against the published Water Resources Management Plan and Drought Plan, support regulatory audits and contribute to the preparation of Board papers required to secure assurance over our data and submissions.
The role will involve extracting and analysing information from multiple datasets, reconciling complex data and ensuring consistency and traceability between different regulatory submissions. You will also interpret new guidance and policy developments, identify risks and opportunities for the business and maintain constructive relationships with our regulators.

Industry Representation: Represent Yorkshire Water at relevant industry forums, workshops and events.
