Payroll Specialist

JHE & Partners are delighted to be working with a genuinely exciting business based in Skipton as they look to recruit an experienced, stand-alone payroll specialist to join their finance team on a full time, permanent basis (hybrid available). This is a growing company who already have a market leading reputation in a particularly exciting sector. With growth plans already in action, this is a brilliant time to join them and have a direct impact on their payroll function in this newly created position.

Reporting to the Finance Director, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the finance team with key responsibilities including:

• Own the payroll funciton on an end-to-end basis for the group including UK and US payrolls
• Validate and submit payroll information
• Liaise with external payroll prodiers both UK and overseas
• Deal with all payroll queries, resolve and ensure all payroll is submitted accuratly and on time
• Maintian payroll control accounts, supporitng balance sheet schedules
• Reconcile the payroll
• Provide p[ayroll information and audit evidence to the finance team
• Support payroll year-end processes, maintianing accurate audit trail
• Prepare FTE analysis ahead of month-end
• Coordinate start and leaver and contractual pay changes in line with legislation
• Be involved in a variety of projects across the business

About you....

• Similar experience in a payroll position with strong knowledge of payroll legislation
• Ability to reconcile payroll outputs
• Strong Excel skills (XLOOKUPS, SUMIFS and Pivot Tables)
• A desire to improve systems and processes
• The ability to communicate with stakeholders across the business is essential
• High level of accuracy and confidentiality
