Sales Ledger Assistant

My client is a well known and established service business based in the Salford area. Due to continued success, they are looking for a Sales Ledger Assistant as an addition to their team.

Reporting to the Finance Manager this is a key role within the team.

Duties of the role will include:

• Set up of new business forms onto the bespoke system
• Amend or terminate forms as required
• Prepare Purchase orders for larger customers to agree which product needs to be invoiced and for what periods during the month
• Agree purchase orders for ad hoc charges
• Produce invoices
• Produce credit notes as agreed with customers
• Update systems with history details for consolidated invoices
• Run interfaces from admin systems to the accounts system as required to ensure all invoices and credits raised are updated into the accounting system
• Upload some invoices to customer portals as per individual customer requirements

The right candidate will have:

• 2 years experience in a sales ledger role including preparation of information pre invoice input.
• Experience of raising invoices and credit notes
• Experience of reviewing sales ledger transactions on an accounting system
• Experience of invoicing larger corporate customers and working within customer portals
• Good Excel skills
• Ability to communicate with customers regarding goods and services provided
