About the role
Are you an experienced Building Surveyor who enjoys taking ownership of projects and seeing them through from start to finish?
I'm working with a local authority in South Yorkshire looking for an Interim Building Surveyor to support a range of capital works, refurbishment and improvement projects across its property portfolio.
You'll be joining a busy team, helping to deliver projects that keep Council buildings safe, compliant and fit for purpose.
What will you be doing?
Managing refurbishment and construction projects from inception to completion.
Undertaking building and condition surveys, producing technical reports.
Preparing drawings, specifications, schedules of works and cost estimates.
Administering contracts, managing contractors and overseeing works onsite.
Ensuring projects meet budgets, deadlines and statutory requirements.
What are we looking for?
Strong Building Surveying and construction project management experience.
Experience with contract administration and technical specifications.
AutoCAD proficiency (essential) - Revit desirable.
Knowledge of Building Regulations, CDM 2015 and asbestos compliance.
Degree or equivalent qualification in Building Surveying or a related discipline.
Local authority experience and MRICS desirable, but not essential.
The details:
Location: South Yorkshire
Rate: 400 - 450 per day
Working arrangements: 3 days per week onsite
