We're recruiting an ambitious Butchery Manager to lead production operations for a well-established, award-winning food manufacturing business in Inverclyde. This is an excellent opportunity to combine your butchery expertise with strong leadership skills, overseeing a high-performing team while maintaining the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and food safety.

Responsibilities in your new role as Butchery Manager

• Lead, motivate, and manage a production butchery team of 12+ staff
• Ensure high-quality standards across all products and orders
• Oversee daily production and dispatch operations
• Conduct team reviews and provide ongoing training and feedback
• Improve processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste
• Manage stock levels and control material costs
• Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards
• Support the development of new and existing product lines

Your personality, experience and qualifications

• Previous experience within production butchery or meat retail
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role
• Strong understanding of meat cuts, preparation, and storage practices
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Good organisational and computer skills
