Job Title Principal Metallurgy Engineer Summary We’re seeking an experienced Principal Metallurgy Engineer to join an upcoming project based in Woking, UK. This role will suit someone with strong expertise in material selection and corrosion control for major onshore oil and gas facilities. The engagement offers a long-term contract and the opportunity to work on a high-profile EPCM project for a leading global operator. Salary Competitive day rates (outside IR35) Location and Working Pattern Woking, UK – Office-based, 5 days per week Client Overview Our client is a major engineering and project management organisation, supporting complex oil and gas projects across global markets. ResponsibilitiesVerify FEED documentation and provide technical assurance across project phasesDevelop Materials Selection Philosophy and Reports for above ground installations and pipelinesProduce material selection diagrams and specifications for various systemsPrepare Corrosion Control and Cathodic Protection philosophy documentationDeliver corrosion management plans and relevant technical specificationsReview vendor documents, technical bids, and material take-offs (MTOs)Respond to RFIs and TQs, and support interdisciplinary coordination and reviewsEnsure all deliverables meet quality requirements within approved schedule and budgetMust-have RequirementsProven track record in materials and corrosion engineering within the oil and gas sectorStrong knowledge of material selection, corrosion prevention, and cathodic protection systemsAbility to prepare and review project-specific engineering documents to international codes and standardsExperience supporting FEED and EPCM project phasesNice-to-have SkillsFamiliarity with Aramco standards (SAES) is highly desirableUnderstanding of AGI and pipeline material specificationsExperience in corrosion modelling and coatings technologiesBenefits Competitive contractor engagement with long-term scope (18 months+) Apply Now Apply today to secure your place on this exciting project and take the next step in your career.The NRL Group connect global companies with the right people to bring engineering projects to life.
