Graduate Trainee Recruitment Consultant

The Role

As a Trainee Recruitment Consultant, you will start by building the core skills behind successful recruitment. Working alongside a Managing Consultant, you will screen applications, interview graduates and support candidate marketing while learning how to assess suitability and communicate opportunities clearly. As your experience grows, you will move into full 360 recruitment, developing new business through calls, email marketing and networking while building relationships with employers. The role gives you practical exposure to sales, account development, candidate management and commercial decision-making, creating a strong foundation for a long-term career in recruitment.

• Screen graduate applications and identify strong candidates for live vacancies
• Conduct telephone interviews and assess candidate suitability and motivation
• Create and send targeted candidate and client marketing communications
• Build relationships with employers and support client-facing recruitment activity
• Develop new business through outbound calls, email marketing and networking
• Manage competing priorities while working towards individual and team targets

Requirements

Recruitment is rewarding but challenging – you need to be self-motivated, positive, and keen to work in a target-based, sales driven environment. 

• 2:1 equivalent or above in any degree subject
• B’s at A-level (or equivalent)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• A strong work ethic and genuine ambition to progress quickly
• Happy to make cold outreach approaches to win new business
