Job Title: Fire Alarm Service Engineer
Location: Newcastle
Length: Monthly rolling contract
Rate: £240 per day
Are you a Fire Alarm Service Engineer based in Newcastle looking for your next contract opportunity? As a Fire Alarm Service Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive servicing of fire alarm systems across a variety of commercial, industrial, and public sector sites throughout the North East. You will be joining an established company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality fire and security solutions to its customers.
Responsibilities:
* Carry out routine servicing and inspection of fire alarm systems across multiple sites in line with BS 5839 standards.
* Diagnose and resolve faults on a range of fire alarm systems, ensuring minimal disruption to site operations.
* Complete accurate service records and reports following each site visit, maintaining full documentation for compliance purposes.
* Liaise professionally with site managers and facilities teams to coordinate access and communicate findings.
* Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with current health and safety regulations.
Experience and Certifications required:
* Proven experience in the servicing and maintenance of fire alarm systems, ideally 3+ years in a similar field-based role.
* Hands-on experience with a range of fire alarm panels from manufacturers such as Advanced, Hochiki, Gent, or Kentec.
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across conventional and addressable systems.
* Full UK driving licence, as the role involves daily travel across multiple sites.
* FIA Level 3 Fire Detection and Alarm Systems qualification (desirable).
* ECS/CSCS card (desirable).
