Salary: £48,000 + on call payment (on call 1 day a week)

Technical Partners are looking for an experienced Electrical Technician to join our clients Maintenance team. This is an important site-based role responsible for delivering safe, reliable and efficient electrical maintenance across 2 North East terminals.
You will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding and repair, while providing technical support to operations, maintenance and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned, reactive and corrective electrical maintenance.
- Inspect and test MCCs, motors, lighting, RCDs, earthing and bonding, heat tracing and LV distribution systems.
- Inspect and maintain hazardous-area electrical equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults, including MCC, motor and earth faults.
- Complete electrical modifications, installations and remedial works.
- Carry out isolations and Lockout/Tagout in line with site procedures.
- Supervise and support electrical contractors, ensuring safe working practices and site compliance.
- Assist with projects, procedures, permits and risk assessments.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records.
- Participate in emergency response and the site on-call rota.
- Support continuous improvement and site safety initiatives.
About You
You will be an experienced electrical technician with a strong background in an industrial environment and a commitment to working safely and to a high standard.
Essential requirements:
- BTEC/NVQ or equivalent Electrical Engineering qualification, or time-served apprenticeship.
- COMPEX 01, 02, 03 & 04.
- BS 7671 18th Edition.
- 5 years’ E&I experience within the petrochemical or chemical industry.
- Safety Instrumented Systems awareness.
- IPAF 3A & 3B.
- PASMA.
- Asbestos Awareness.
- Working at Height.
- High Voltage awareness.
